Gathering a clinical history through an interview with your provider
An objective measurement of symptoms using QbTest
The completion of one or more rating scales
QbTest is used together with other clinical measures to help your Dr Brugman make more informed decisions about ruling in or ruling out ADHD.
If you receive a diagnosis and you are prescribed ADHD medication, Dr Brugman will use QbTest for treatment monitoring purposes. He may ask you to perform another QbTest when you start your prescribed ADHD treatment to see what impact it has on your inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity.
Dr Brugman may use QbTest at regular intervals to understand how your core ADHD Symptoms may change over time. He can compare your latest QbTest report against reports obtained at any other point in time.
Testing involves a 15 to 20 minute, nonverbal, computer-based task.
The task measures your attention level and impulse control.
While performing the task, movements are measured to determine if hyperactivity is present.
Results are compared to an age and sex matched group.
With the information from your clinical interview and rating scale(s), Dr Brugman will interpret results to determine if you qualify for an ADHD diagnosis.
If an ADHD diagnosis is indicated, our practice may then conduct Qbtech’s testing after treatment is initiated to measure your response to treatment.
